K-9 Guardians

We are on our second German Shepherd that these guys have trained. They do a phenomenal job. We are extremely happy with the results and our dogs have loved them. Our current shepherd puppy “Goose” can’t wait to get inside. He has made great progress. The prices are very reasonable. We highly recommend their training services.

Great Service and the dogs are well cared for. Joe and Gary do a great job and is always accommodating. Medication schedules, grooming needs, short notice availability , I'm always happy, and know my dog is being well cared for when he can't travel with us

DO NOT board your dog here. We boarded our pit bull here for training in December 2021 and the condition she was in when we picked her up was heartbreaking. She was lethargic, had clearly lost weight, her paws were raw, and she was limping and swollen on top of her paw. No dog should come home from “training” like that. Looking back, the facility conditions were unacceptable. Instead of taking responsibility, they offered for us to bring her back for more training — which was unbelievable given what had already happened. I still think about the day we picked her up and how badly she looked. I wouldn’t leave a dog here under any circumstances

I’ve been all over Illinois based on residency and I’d say Gary is part of my top two favorites. K9 Guardian and Tops Kennel (Grayslake) are the best places I’ve been to with Malinois and Dutchies. I have a high stir Dutchie who’s extremely protector and high drive. Gary was able to help him grow confidently and teach us how to handle him. We continuously go back for board and trains which helps tremendously. Thank you, all!!

We have a very energetic mini golden-doodle (Maple) who is about 1.5 years old. We’ve tried different trainings before but have never seen such fast and amazing results. My biggest goal was achieved very quickly which was to be able to go on peaceful walks with Maple. She doesn’t pull on the leash anymore. I always did my debriefs with Ed and I could just tell how much he loved Maple and how well cared for she was at k9 guardians. Highly recommend to anyone looking for effective and affordable training!
