(from Google)One of the best off road biking trails in the Dallas area!
It would help to have signs or a map of how long the small trails go in and around the forest. The open trail, which just goes back and forth about a mile I believe, is very spacious for biking and walking/ running! I got to explore one side of the trail along the creek which was easy with some short uphills and downhills, but nothing extreme! Luckily I didn’t run into any snakes like some have mentioned on the reviews. Just some big spiders that are up above the trails hanging and your regular squirrels and all types of birds singing! The only bad thing about this place is I noticed a lot of trash on the side of the trails and along by the river. But I also seen trash bags full of trash which led me to believe it’s volunteers, scouts or locals keeping it clean!
Nice trails to either bike or walk, with more than sufficient tree covering to keep out direct sun exposure while exploring.
Great place to do hiking during the week. The weekend is filled with bikers biking up the beautiful trails. From the entrance two trails are available left direction going towards pleasant valley road , right direction towards miller road , you can easily get in a 4+ miles of trodding. Interesting insects, birds , turtles, snakes can be spotted along the trails.
Awesome nature area great for on foot or by bike. Over ten different mapped trails with varying levels of difficulty. Can do anything from a 1-mile easy walk to a 20+ mi bike ride. The trails are almost all shaded by trees so great place to go on hot sunny Texas summer days. Only downside is trails take awhile to dry out after the sun so be sure you check on the DORBA website to make sure trails are open before making the drive there.
