Sheri Capehart Nature Preserve

Was looking for a place to enjoy our lunch after church and this was perfect. Serene, quiet, and plenty to see. It was a little too steep for Bill in his wheelchair but I walked a little to take some pics. There are about half a dozen displays showing the habitat which was interesting and informative.

Beautiful park, great fishing spot as well, they have 2 large ponds with fishes like bluegill's and more, also have ducks and turtles, but be aware the geese can be a bit territorial but they aren't too bad. This place is full of amazing plants and species. Can be a bit muddy near the bigger pond side. the smaller pond has a nice clean dock.

Great area to get a little nature in the middle of the city. It's not flat like most parks around here. Dog friendly, although the trails are a little narrow.

Beautiful trail with many path options. Nice water for fishing or meditating. Serene getaway in the middle of the city.

Nice park! Just visited this park finally. Small but nice. Lots of small hills and elevation change. The "lookout" is blocked by tree leaves, but will go back in the winter for the view. Lots of trails, a few were not clearly marked on the split (fork). Elevation provides a nice breeze when you make it up high. There is wildlife, so stay on your toes and be aware of your surroundings.
