(from Google)Two turtles visit the Turtle and didn't want to leave, only because we both felt so sick after eating 2 different meals and soups. I was sitting there stuck . I had French onion soup the other Turtle had potato soup, hers was cold mine was French onion squeezed dirty dish rag , mine had a chunk of something I spit on the plate I should have stopped there. Im not a complainer at a table but should have. I ordered a double drink it was rum and coke it was so watered you could see through the glass. Main food recommended highly, Fish and chips. Worst ever had oily, cold, again I ate it but never should have put a fork to it. I look at the other turtles food and she took 2 bites .The waitress could tell it was all bad and she kept her professionalism towards her job but cleared the table and handed a bill for 80 bucks. Im writing this at 150 am because I got so sick along with the other Turtle. We won't be back.I should have stopped at the soup and said something but we were hungry. Im not a new customer and the place has gone down hill. 3 strikes im out. I need to get this food out of me. I tip 20 percent she didn't cook it and she works hard but she knew it was bad . Sorry Turtles but we won't be back.
First time at this local sports pub with comfort food and good vibes. Was craving a burger and a beer and this place hit the spot! Salmon and steak dishes were also pretty good! Came on a Sunday afternoon and was surprised to see lots of families with kids which gave it the local neighborhood vibe!
Good Anerican comfort food, great service and large selection of beers. The portions are big and street parking is very easy. The inside is a bit old. There is an outdoors area, too.
Friendly place on South Avenue in Cranford, New Jersey. Plenty of seating near or away from the bar. Any number of flatscreens always with sports on. Offers soup, salads, burgers, sandwiches and salmon. Highlight might be the good selection of craft beers, about 25 choices, regularly updated on a large blackboard. Prices perhaps slightly high. Service always good.
Great local place. The blackened chicken salad is popular, and we crave it often. All of their salads are very good. We've also gotten the veggie burger here which is good though a little strange on the thin bun, but can be swapped with a regular bun too. We recently ate in and enjoyed the onion rings. They were perfectly crispy, not too oily, and the onion didn't slide out of it. The fish and chips, crispy chicken tacos and the pork dish were all good. It's a casual place but one we gravitate back to.
