(from Google)My 13 week old Malinoi visited for a check up and vaccinations. The staff was super awesome friendly and professional. I have one issue, my pooch keeps asking about the pretty tech, “Emma,” who cuddled him and gave him the magical chicken and apple flavored treats. Thank you Emma.
Horrible experience. Please do not take your pets here if you love them.I was referred to this company by my favorite Aunt Judy, whom has been going there for many years . I received a call from a new receptionist the day prior to my appointment who told me my appointment was at a certain time frame, I arrived at that appt time and was put in a room for a half an hour at least and no one had come in there to check on us or said anything. So I asked the receptionist. Did they forget about us? I was treated rudely by the staff and told that I was an hour early so I would need to wait until the other appointments were seen before me. I had just received the the call the day before and I certainly did not forget the time within 24 hours. I will never ever go back to this place again. I will make sure none of my friends or family take their animals there ever again.
Central Mesa Veterinary Hospital has been our vet for a couple of years now, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the team. From the front desk on, we’re always greeted warmly, checked in promptly, and taken back quickly. Dr. Senter is a delight. She has a great bedside manner and really takes the time to explain her diagnosis and make sure everything is understood. I’ve never felt like I was being upsold here—pricing is very reasonable. Estimates often include optional or “recommended if possible” items, but the doctor and staff are always direct and honest when I ask what could be removed if my budget is tight. What really stands out is that Dr. Senter and the techs actually come into the room and talk to me about my animals and my concerns. We have a cat with long-term kidney disease who’s a bit sassy. Our previous vet had him labeled as “aggressive,” and we were often sent home because blood draws weren’t possible. I was genuinely shocked when the team at Central Mesa handled him with no issue—no hissing, no yowling, and no problems getting blood. The difference has been huge. Our dog Mable (a mastiff mix) also seems to be a staff favorite. They know her by name and often stop in just to say hi during appointments. We’ve had many routine visits here, plus two more serious procedures (a deep dental cleaning and a mass removal). Drop-off was easy both times, I received prompt status updates, and the aftercare instructions from Lydia were extremely thorough. Bloodwork always comes back quickly, and Lou is very thorough when he calls to review results and answer questions. I’m just really happy we found a vet close to home that we trust. The entire team is great, and I can’t recommend them enough. 🐾 .
PLEASE READ: Dr Centers saved my dog Gizmo’s life when other vets like Scottsdale said “we didn’t need to remove” an impacted or non dropped testicle years later he developed a tumor in that testicle and we didn’t realize it only to take him in to Dr Centers for a check up and she immediately found the tumor and told us we should’ve had that testicle removed as a puppy. She removed it and neutered him and saved his life literally. 5/6 years later he’s doing amazing! Dr Centers and Lou have done hundreds of other amazing things for us and others and I simply wanted to take the time to share just one of many of our positive stories with you all. I can PROMISE YOU, this vet is honest, kind and sooo worth taking your loved fur baby! Scott Frost & Erica Hutchison 🥰
This place was very good for an animal's first time vet visit. It was only when the vet had to take a rectal temperature reading that things got a bit wild. Our cat's eyes went HUGE and boy did he twist and squirm, yet the vet tech held firm and it was all quickly over. Located right along the canal in Mesa, this office doesn't mind walk ins of animals in distress should you be walking in the area. Inside they had a cat themed clock and the waiting room had a beautiful fish tank and postors of many different kinds of cat breeds. It was an enterrtaining office. They had an office cat that had the run of the floor that was large and fluffly. My daughter was delighted with this office.
