(from Google)Great experience! Alberto and his team took care of my boys. Took their time and provided the best customer service. Upsold me on products for my boys! We will be back!
The owner, who is there literally everyday, is the most helpful human ever. I first went into this shop when I was fostering a litter of kittens and got to know him as I was there A LOT. They have a great selection, even being a small store, always offer to carry things out to your car and suggest at home options for treatments when applicable. Couldn’t rave about it more. Also used their grooming services for my two cats, and they did a stellar job. Was so stoked when I saw they had opened a second location in LB. 10/10 recommend
The most reasonable price for daycare that I found in the Long Beach area. They love dogs and it shows. When I see that my best friend is just as happy to spend the day there as he is when I go pick him up, that tells me everything I need to know.
I can’t say enough about the incredible care and professionalism shown by the team at Pet Partner. They did an amazing job grooming my dog, and the difference was noticeable immediately — not just in his appearance, but in his overall energy and mood. His coat, which had dulled a bit before, came out brilliantly white, soft, and silky after their session. He looks like a completely new dog! You can tell they used high-quality products and handled him with genuine patience and love. The shine and cleanliness have lasted days longer than other groomers I’ve tried, and his fur feels baby-soft to the touch. Beyond the physical transformation, I’m genuinely impressed by the emotional impact their care had. My dog came home calm, emotionally grounded, and visibly more relaxed. It’s as if his entire nervous system reset — he’s been sleeping more peacefully, socializing better, and adjusting beautifully to his new home. Grooming can be a stressful experience for dogs with sensitive temperaments, but Pet Partner clearly knows how to create a soothing environment. I’m so grateful to have found a groomer who not only focuses on aesthetics but also on the emotional well-being of their clients. You can tell the team truly understands animal behavior and takes pride in helping pets feel safe, loved, and balanced. Thank you, Pet Partner, for taking such wonderful care of my pup. We’ll absolutely be back — and I’ll be recommending your services to every pet parent I know! 🐶🤍
Good Haircut / Bath and Convenient Supplies, But Serious Concerns: Refusal to Show Dog Area, No Rabies Check, Overly Short Nail Trimming, and Chewed Leash Suggesting POSSIBLE Neglect I have mixed feelings — there are some positives, but several serious red flags. When I arrived, I noticed they have a large selection of food, dog items, and supplies, which is very convenient. I handed my dogs to the groomer and he immediately took them to the back. One of my dogs started barking right away. As their owner, I know why my dog barks and how it sounds: my intuition told me he’d been locked up in the cage. I asked to see where my dogs would be playing and where they were being kept, but the man refused to show me. His excuse was that he didn’t want me to step on anything that might be harmful — which made no sense to me, because if something was safe enough for my dogs to walk on, it should be safe enough for me to walk on too. A couple hours later I realized he never asked for proof of rabies vaccination (which is required). My phone had been off, so I was late picking up my dogs; the groomer was lenient about the late pickup. When I returned and picked them up, I loved the haircut & the dogs were very calm. But because I was not allowed to see the holding/play area, I couldn’t tell whether they were calm from a long day of play or calm from boredom. I noticed their toenails had been clipped extremely short. I groom my dogs myself sometimes, so I know their nails are not normally that short. After putting them in the car, I saw their leash was badly chewed. My dogs only chew their leash when they are bored and have access to it, which made me suspect they had been tied up or otherwise had access to the leash during the day. Mind you: This leash had just been bought this week, I am also open to the idea that another dog got a hold of the leash and chewed on it. Overall: the facility is convenient for supplies and the haircut was good (I would suggest letting him know: no nail trimming), but the refusal to show where the dogs were kept, the lack of vaccination checks, the excessively short nail trimming, and the chewed leash are major concerns. I would’ve rated them 3 stars if it weren’t for the rabies vaccination situation. If you only need a drop-off, it might work; I would not trust them for overnight boarding or extended stays.
