Nice medium difficulty trail along Lake Brandt shoreline and surrounding forest, with boardwalk sections and small bridges. Most nearby water is stagnant, but appears to be popular for fishing. Free parking in small gravel lot for about five cars. Trial winds through low areas and shaded forest, so expect to walk around some muddy areas. Overall nice for a walk or trail run!

Really nice easy hiking trail. One problem is the lake has a lot of nasty stagnant water. Unfortunately there was limited spots our dogs could only swim in. Also the biggest complaint is the parking spots. You have to drive up on the side walks to get to the parking spots.

Don't go on days after heavy rain if you don't want to walk through the mud. Many spots flood and since the run can't get though some of the trees, many spots of the trail are muddy. However, it's still my go to walking trail.

The trail itself is great, but good luck with parking. The lot is minuscule to begin with and only has space for 6 cars if parked conscientiously, but frequently people park haphazardly and diagonally and manage to take up the entire lot with only 3-4 cars. I often have to go somewhere else when I want to hike this trail because of this problem.
