(from Google)Not sure what the name of the young man who helped us was but he was great! We were only looking to buy some crickets for my daughters dragon. He took some time to teach us about them and to teach us about different kinds of foods etc. This place was amazing with so many fresh and saltwater fish and tons of cool reptiles. I wish it was closer to my home I would visit at least once a week! Love this place highly recommend.
THE BEST place around for fish & exotics. I recently purchased my second betta from them and he was having issues adjusting and wouldn't eat for a while. The amount of time Joe & Kurt took with me giving me advice, testing my water, helping me to create a better aquarium for him and their patience was outstanding. My betta is finally out and eating and I ended up getting another tank and adopting another betta that was a surrender. They also take surrenders and find them good homes and that truly makes my heart happy. They truly care around what they do and are highly knowlegable with any issue. The store is very clean, well organized and the fish are all kept in tanks with plenty of extra room and they receive amazing care from the staff. I will not go anywhere else. I highly recommend.
Fins and Skins is a superb shop in Pinellas Park. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness. The tanks were spotless and the environment was incredibly well-organized. The animals were healthy and looked strong. They have a massive selection of livestock, from oddball freshwater fish to captive-bred reptiles. The staff knows their stuff. They were helpful and gave honest advice on care. It is a fine place for any serious hobbyist. I loved it.
My dad took me here as a kid and I believe was close with the owner at one time. I have continued to come here for years as an adult and always refer people here. They care about the animals and take time to educate potential pet owners, which most places don't do. Owning a reptile or fish is a lot of work and people should know that. Love this place, good people.
Very knowledgeable, answered all my questions i had as a beginner in this hobby. Also gotten all my fish and decor from them starting out. This was in 2/2025,I now 11/2025 just bought a 29 gallon freshwater tank and knowing a little bit more then first starting out with a 10 gallon I'll be going back to pick out and stock my new tank with the decor, rocks and plants as I did starting out, fish also, just haven't got there yet to find out what's the best commuteable fish for that size tank. Good job guys, hope to see you after I cycle my tank!! Thanks
