Good Earth State Park

Good Earth State Park was a pleasant surprise. The trails were beautiful, the setting was peaceful, and it ended up being one of the better spots along the Big Sioux River.

I got a very soft shirt last year and waiting for the new one. 👏🏻

This is a great spot to get away from the city bustle in Sioux Falls. There are lots of trails you can take and some take you to spots that you would never expect. If you like owls and birding, this is a great place to go to see them at dusk. I was FLOORED one evening when I saw my first great horned owl. And THEN I saw literally 3 more. Two sets of mating pairs. It was SICK.

Good Earth State Park is an overall great state park to check out. I was really looking forward to checking out the visitor center, but we got there around 11am on a Sunday, and the visitor center did not open til 1pm on Sundays. The building is large and looks to have a lot going on inside. Hiked a bit on the trails. Lots of signs with historical information

Great place to go for a walk/hike. Lots of incredible views. Different paths of varying difficulties make good earth a nice hiking destination for all ages regardless of how much hiking experience one may or may not have
