Diamond Dog Academy

I was led to Randall through my neighbor. Seeking help in training my affectionate, yet out of control Healer mix Finn, I noticed my neighbor walking his two perfectly obedient dogs by my house and asked him his secret. He gave me Randall Elbrecht's phone number. As soon as Randall stepped into my home, Finn tried to jump on him. Randall calmly slipped a training collar on him, made immediate corrections when necessary and had command and the respect of Finn in seconds! Emphasizing positive reinforcement and explaining dog behavior with human analogies, Randall has guided me to where Finn is now a joy to walk.

Before Randy started training Parker Posey, she was wild and out of control. After 3 weeks with Randy, Posey was another dog--calm, obedient, and centered on my commands. Randy was very patient with me AND with Posey. Hiring him was a great decision. Thank you Randy!

We can’t thank Randy and Diamond Dog Academy enough! My wife and I brought our two year old pup (Cheddar) to Randy after a failed Petco “training program,” many giardia vet bills, and numerous escape attempts. We eventually stopped taking him places and going on long walks because of his chaotic energy. We decided to bring him to Diamond Dog Academy as a last attempt. We saw great results after just one session with Randy. My wife and I immediately signed up for more classes. Cheddar is a completely different dog after our training. He’s still a goofball, but he now walks perfectly on the leash, doesn’t get worked up over other dogs, and stays when we tell him to stay. Randy is kind, patient, and an all around great guy. He cares about your dog’s wellbeing, thoughtfully answers your questions, and makes you feel comfortable every step of the way. His sessions/ packages are reasonably priced and worth every penny. We can’t wait to sign up for off leash training this spring!

I wish I would’ve found Diamond Dog Academy sooner! Prior to completing on leash training with Randall, my puppy received training from another company for several months. That training served as a good baseline but my dog still wasn’t where I wanted her to be. She controlled me on walks and controlled the household. Within one month of working with Randy, my dog made way more progress than any previous training attempts. My abilities improved immensely too and now my dog and I make a great team, but ultimately I am in control. I can finally walk my dog confidently and truly enjoy it, all thanks to Randy! Not only has her leash walking come a long way, but her general obedience, anxiety, and “problem” behaviors continue to improve daily as I am able to carryover the techniques that Randy taught us. He made sessions fun and practical as we trained in the home, our neighborhood, and various locations around town to practice our skills in different environments. It was worth every minute and highly recommend Randy! I am excited to begin working with Diamond Dog Academy again soon to complete the off leash program!
