(from Google)Beginner friendly trail/hike! Took about 30-40 to go up and back down. Very rocky but doable for amateur hikers!
**LOST & FOUND** Just wanted to post pictures of things that were left behind on this mountain yesterday (Monday, January 26, 2026). My sister's and I hike this mountain at least once a week. It takes about 15 minutes to hike up, and then we spend a couple of hours on top of the mountain just talking, catching up on life, and then we hike down and go home. A lot of people bring their dogs. I've seen every breed of dog on this mountain, but I never brought my little girl... she had a flat face, and all of that dust would've make it hard for her to breathe, so she always stayed at home on the days I went hiking.
Easy hike on an old broken up road. Its short to get to the top. If you hustle you can make it in 20 minutes to the top. Your heart will race on the steep grade at the start but it gets easier. Beautiful views of the area. Great for sunsets.
Rode my bike to the brown mountain trailhead, and let me tell you, great experience with great views and sunsets and sunrises. The hike to the top is not bad at all and is not very tiring, my friend says otherwise though. So I guess it depends on if you are capable or not. Otherwise, great experience and would definitely recommend to friends and family. 10/10 experience.
We went hiking tonight, and the view from the top was really beautiful — all the city lights looked amazing at night. The trail going up is pretty crooked and a bit tough in some spots, so make sure to bring a flashlight. Be careful near the edges at the top, as it can get steep in some areas. Overall, it was a really nice and peaceful hike, totally worth it for the view!
