Grand Fur Lodge

We have been bringing our dog here for daycare for years. She always has a great time and comes home tried and happy. The staff are wonderful and work with her and make sure she is playing with dogs she gets along with!

I cannot recommend this place enough! Starting with training services: Adam is a phenomenal trainer who can read my dog like a book. My dog came in with no training. He is incredibly frightful of dogs and people due to his lack of experience and negative encounters with unleashed dogs. He grew up with two cats and simply does not understand dogs. Adam is fantastic with reading dog language and telling me what I should do to correct and encourage him. I could see his changes after just one day. And it was free! Daycare: I originally went to a local daycare nearby me until I learned about grand fur. Grand fur was more lenient and flexible towards dogs who are not the most social. They have a lot of staff members who are trained to supervise and monitor dogs of specific needs. I only work once a week but I put him in daycare so he will be more comfortable with dogs and people. The staff always takes wonderful photos of him and tells update me on his progress. So far he has warmed up to the staff. I hope to see him play with the other dogs one day.

I really enjoyed the pack walks and all of the great training information and support. That being said, I will never board my dog with them again. My big, anxious, out alone (not to be with other dogs) was left with them for about 8 days. I was already concerned about him being anxious as he’s never been boarded or away from us that long. I was assured he’d be socialized with a human a few times a day. I had seen his photos uploaded only twice during the whole week he was in their care. When I picked him up his neck was soaked, he smelled awful and he had sores on his elbows, nose and a raw spot on his butt. I was never once given a phone call to let me know that my dog wasn’t doing well. Someone had to have seen how bad his owies were (red and seeping) or at least how bad he smelt. These injuries were likely from him digging and trying to get out of his kennel but had I been informed on how he was doing I would have had a family member pick him up or deliver anxiety meds to the facility. I gave the business a call and was told was “so sorry, I’m not sure why no one called to let you know he wasn’t doing well. If he has vet bills we can talk about a solution.”……that’s it. No follow up call to check on him or anything. $500 later he has even more of a reasons to be anxious away from us. I wish we had a better experience and that I had a better review to leave because I know they are good people and love the dogs they help with but unfortunately the situation wasn’t handled well.

Grand Fur Lodge is the place to come to bring your fur baby for a day/ half day /or even overnight. Your fur baby will have the Best time of their life. The moment you walk in, you’ll be greeted with a warm welcoming smile from wonderful ladies such as Devyn, Krista, Megan. Just knowing your fur baby will be having the time of their life and come home happy and tired, is the best feeling ever. Also if you’re in need of training… Adam is the Man!! His knowledge of dogs is phenomenal as well as his apprentice, AJ ( she’s Awesome) I highly recommend him and Grand Fur Lodge for the care of fur baby and training. Come on down and give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. You’ll love Everyone!! There’s not a person there you can’t trust.

Adam and his team are the best! I looked for daycare for my GSD puppy so he could get some energy out while I went to jury duty. He has some social issues and GFL worked to identify which dogs he could play with. We had sent him to board and train with another trainer who didn’t work on his reactivity (which was the only reason we sent him there). We decided to have him go back to boarding school with Adam. He is SO much better. I can now walk him without him crawling up my leg to get at another dog. I would encourage anyone with a dog who to attend the Pack Walks, which are free. My dogs are my family and I don’t trust a lot of people to care for my dogs. I trust GFL.
