I brought my German Shepherd in for a wash and paid extra for the de-shedding service. When we arrived, the groomer mentioned that she probably didn’t even need the de-shed because her coat looked so good coming in. Needless to say, she looks worse now than she did before the appointment. She is shedding excessively — I can’t even pet her without hair coming off everywhere. It doesn’t seem like she was properly blown out after the bath. Her coat looks uneven and kind of funky, almost like it air-dried instead of being fully dried and brushed through. Since I paid for the added de-shedding service, I expected her coat to be thoroughly blown out and finished.

I’ve been coming here for years with my miniature schnauzer, golden retriever, and German shepherd, and I’ve always been happy with the service. I’ve even recommended family to come here. Unfortunately, today was a completely different experience. I brought in my miniature schnauzer and received a call saying her beard was too matted and needed to be shaved because she was trying to bite due to pain. I knew something was wrong in my gut and I should’ve just picked my dog up and said never mind. My dog has been groomed for five years and has never had any aggression issues. I agreed to shave her beard or leave it alone entirely if that avoided biting?? When I picked her up, she was shaved down unevenly all over. Her eyebrows and eyelashes were cut off crooked, her entire face including her whiskers was shaved, and the cut looks choppy and rushed. She looks like a completely different dog and has never had her entire face shaved before. When I questioned it, the groomer became defensive and argumentative, insisting I approved it. She even said, “I’m not mad at you,” which was very unprofessional and confusing. When I asked if calls were recorded, she responded, “No, why would we do that?” in a smug tone. Her attitude throughout the interaction was dismissive and inappropriate. She also mentioned she was new, which unfortunately explains the outcome. A miniature schnauzer cut requires some skill, and if she is still training, she should not be solely responsible for that level of grooming without proper oversight. Another employee stepped in and was kind and apologetic, but the damage was already done. I paid and tipped before seeing my dog. I don’t want a refund, but I do believe the tip was undeserved given the quality of the service and the way the situation was handled. I’m extremely disappointed because this is not the standard of care I’ve experienced here before. The before picture is the service I’ve gotten before. They’ve done so good in the past. The second picture is of her eyelashes. The third picture is from today. Omg. I know it sounds dramatic but she didn’t need to do all that. She didn’t wanna be bothered with my dog and it shows. I called to ask for the groomers name and they didn’t want to give it. Wanted it so I could tell people who to avoid. A name I know fersure that does a good job is Bianca. Edit: The owner called back and I feel like she took care of the situation appropriately. If you go here I recommend anyone but Quin! Ive had all 3 of my dogs come here and my grandmas 2 dogs so again, super off day for us.

Great experience! Very friendly and professional front office girls. Vicki, our groomer was amazing! She took the time with our little girl maltipoo and made her look gorgeous! I literally did not recognize her when she came out after her spa day, in a good way! Such a good grooming and bath, and nail trim. Most places usually cut our little girl too much and hurt her, but Vicki took her time and did a beautiful job! Thank you Vicki. Koukla will definitely be back!
