Niki is the best, we are so lucky we stumbled across her on a random Google search for dog training! Niki is absolutely wonderful with dogs (and people too), she has a great way of explaining things and her communication is far and away more than I expected. After each session we got a very comprehensive and thorough written synopsis of what we had discussed and step by step instructions about how to practice these items on our own. Our Dobby loves Niki and I can tell the feeling is mutual! Niki clearly loves her work and it shows, she was so fun and upbeat, made us feel very comfortable with all the material and she was the best person to have come into your home and help with training! She adapted her instruction to our needs and that flexibility was appreciated! I've already recommended her to friends and will happily do so in the future! Niki is a fantastic trainer! We learned so much, and our puppy, Otis, picked up on commands quickly. Niki is intuitive, flexible based on your needs and gives extensive notes after each session. It was very helpful for first time dog owners such as ourselves. She showed so much love to our pup and us and we are forever grateful!

We have two (crazy but adorable) pitbull mixes (maple & bear) and we desperately needed help with walking on the leash & house manners when we first started training with Niki. Niki was so gentle and focused on positive reinforcement which was really important to me and such a wonderful part of our training! We were referred to Niki by a local dog training school that didn't have any space. How lucky for us that they recommended her! Our German Shepherd Rocky absolutely loved working with Niki! (and so did we). Niki was incredibly talented at working with Rocky who has a hard time not being super reactive (barking/growling/lunging) and is pretty nervous around strangers, especially inside the apartment. Niki quickly won over Rocky and showed us how to modify our behavior to help Rocky become less reactive. It has absolutely changed our relationship with our dog for the better and was the best money we have ever spent. Not only is Niki extremely knowledgeable and professional, but she is also a great person as well. We felt extremely comfortable with her in our home and she is always super communicative by email and text. We loved the emails we would get from Niki after our sessions with a review of what we covered and homework to do between sessions. We cannot recommend Niki enough for any other dog owners out there who need a little extra help and guidance. You will not regret it!

We have two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Artemis and George, who are great dogs, but needed a little extra help with certain behaviors in our house. We hired Niki to do a board and train in our home. Over the few weeks that followed, I watched my dogs turn into attentive well-behaved pets who no longer jump on visitors, quit counter surfing, resist barking at people passing our house, come when called, and kennel on command. The transformation is wonderful! This is a dog trainer who knows her stuff! Niki works with positive reinforcement, combining lots of love, praise, and treats to keep the dogs motivated. She is incredibly positive and patient when working with her clients, both pets and people. Niki goes the extra mile to ensure success by sending detailed notes about how to keep the dogs on the right track when she isn’t here. These notes include possible scenarios that may come up with the dogs’ behavior and how to handle them step by step. As someone who is forgetful, it’s great to have a reference to remind me what to do. I highly recommended working with Niki. She is professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly, she is genuinely great at what she does. I now have two well-behaved dogs who are a joy to be around!
