One of my most favorite park. Love going there for walks.

Beautiful park that is very stroller friendly. You will need terrain wheels but it was a fantastic mile walk.

This could be a beautiful natural area to stroll or jog among the forest, birds and flowers. However, it needs to be better kept. There is lots of trash everywhere, along the walkway, in the water, in the woods. Trees fall into the creek and collect trash that accumulates into very large piles. As a result, water from the creek floods the walkway even when the rain is very light. Water and mud remain there for weeks after. Water creates shore erosion. There is no good parking. You have to cross the road where cars speed up, very unsafe. Dogs are allowed to poop everywhere. There are homeless tents near by. People walking in the park smoking all kinds of stuff. The trail portion near the Yadkinville is completely unkept and muddy. There is no more access to the lotus pond that used to be in the past.

Despite the fact that they cut down hundreds of 100 year old trees the park is still a nice place to go. It is my favorite Happy Place.

Actually, I got confused here to find the trail for my family. I think once you are familiarised with the layout it will be good. I found 3 trails and an old cemetery. They are not connected. 1. the trail and cemetery and connected. There is good parking space too. The trail has highs and lows. It's not just a plane. People were bringing dogs without leash. Looked like Trail was the dog's favorite. 2. Bathabara grounds. It has parking. 3. Park the car and cross the road to take a trail for a walk. It looked good. But it gets muddy after rain. But all in all good walking is guaranteed.
