Beautiful park with good disc golf
Was once a serene l open space area for hiking and birding. Now it’s some newfangled frisbee golf type course too. Unfortunately on several occasions lately the peace and quiet was suddenly interrupted by blasts of very loud gunfire for hours from the shooting range nearby which terrified both me and my dog— what a shame. I will miss some of the best birdwatching around and wish the gun range wasn’t located between two public parks.
We were 4 beginner disc golfers. This course was a good place to start! The first 9 holes were a great way to practice. The final 9 were harder, with a lot of curves and trees. It took around 2.5hours to complete the course.
Beautiful spot. Great Cricket Ground surrounded by nature … inviting disc golf and huge shelter suitable for big outdoor gatherings.
