(from Google)I made a heartbreaking phone call to Hart Animal Clinic yesterday just after 9AM to let them know that our beloved 15yo shih poo, an established patient, could no longer stand or walk. I wanted to discuss options with Dr. Hart to see if there was anything we could do to extend her life or if this was the end. I was told that the doctor was in surgery but that a message would be sent to her ASAP. I tearfully reiterated that my dog could no longer walk or stand and that this was an urgent matter. It's now the next day and I never received a phone call back. I had to go to a vet that neither myself nor my pet were familiar with and they provided the most compassionate end-of-life care. I will never return to Hart Animal Clinic (my other 2 pets were also patients there). The lack of support provided during one of the most critical times in my dog's life spoke volumes. I understand life and work can be busy, but this is just the kind of matter that you make time for and not let slip through the cracks. I'd give zero stars if it were an option. ETA: Since I cannot reply to the owner's response... First of all, when I brought Alice in months ago, Dr. Hart **advised against** any diagnostics due to Alice's age and not being able to handle anesthesia well for a biopsy (again, due to her age). Additionally, I told Oscar that I wanted to discuss options and I was hoping that an option might be to drain the mass that was immobilizing her. I never asked if it was firm, I could feel it myself; I also never asked about removing the mass. I was in tears that my dog could not walk or stand. I shouldn't have to beg for a phone call back or spell it out that euthanasia is a last resort option for a 15yo dog who was immobile. I stand by every word in my 1-star review.
Dr. Hart was our vet prior to opening her own practice. She has ALWAYS been for your pet and you! Dr. Hart is the epitome of a Veterinarian. Thanks Dr. Hart for listening and always being the best. And thank you to the wonderful staff! They are all kind, compassionate and all about your pet/you!
I am always so grateful for the time and patience Dr. Hart takes each time we come in. Sam is an older dog with many allergies. As he gets older the allergies are harder to manage. She is always looking for ways to make him more comfortable. Sam has a big personality for a little dog. His personality and stubbornness makes him hard to handle on most visits, which has earned him a reputation as a tough guy. But I trust the staff and have seen nothing but care, love and compassion in the way they work with Sam. It has taken me a long time to find such an amazing Vet! They are an amazing veterinary practice!
I want to take the time to compliment Dr. Hart and her staff. She truly loves and cares for the animals she cares for. I took my cat Lili to see her and she was very nervous but Dr. Hart literally got on the floor with her and met her where she was. Lili is very sweet natured but Dr. Hart made her feel at ease and had a cat tree with a hidey hole. Her whole staff was very sweet and even recommended a vet who makes house calls. I cannot recommend her clinic enough.
The absolute best vet I’ve visited. The owner worked with my cat way before she owned the place and then again yesterday and she is just the most gentle caring person for animals. My kitten felt safe around them and its so obvious that those working there feel the environment is a safe place and all the workers genuinely love the animals On top of the care I’ve received for my pets they’ve gone above and beyond with my rodents, when I had to get my rat put to sleep due to a mammary tumor they fit her in the same morning and once I got her remains back they went out of their way to each sign a card giving condolences for my loss, they provided me a rock with her front paw prints and a paper card with all four paw prints. Truly the best vet i’ve ever taken my pets to.
