(from Google)Not a huge hiker but like to get out now and then. Parking lot was full. But being the nice day it was in mid-December, I'm glad people were out enjoying the weather and nature. The path was clearly marked, plenty of space to move aside for other hikers and bikers. Great views looking east. I found myself moving over every few minutes for bikers so don't go off daydreaming or you will get run over! Get out there and enjoy!
Absolutely gorgeous views- that includes the dozens of prairie dogs!!! They were so cute and there were even babies poking their heads out! There are several nice trails for walking or biking that all connect to the park.
Beautiful lake, fresh water smell, super clean and taken care of, great area for fishing😀, Walks, bike riding, or any physical activity. Awesome trails to walk on or ride on; parking is a bit small but not horrible, still decently accessible.
Absolutely beautiful scenic nature preserve that is right next to to Horsetooth Reservoir. On the northern side of the preserve there is a boat launch for Kayaks. Easy access all around for fishing as well. Trails ate bike and dog friendly and parking lots are free. Pretty much all the basic activities for the taking.
Visit this area during spring time there are many kinds of flower and vegetation to enjoy, you can park by Maxwell area or by spring canyon park. Dixon reservoir is in this area so if you like fishing bring your poles or just come for a run, you will love it!
