River Dog Inn

we brought our dog here from the time he was a puppy in 2022 up until we left Memphis in 2026. He’s probably stayed here at least 100 nights and probably 200 or more daycare days in that time. Kathy and her team are wonderful, responsible caring and genuinely make you feel like your dog is their favorite, which is a pretty nice quality to do consistently. They are very accommodating in doing what’s best for the animals, and make you feel like your dog is not only taken care of, but also making friends and has good behavioral practices and genuinely feels loved, which is rare these days. given, we both worked long hours , whenever he came home he was sleeping like a baby in a good way and would be excited every morning to get going. thanks again.

I can’t say enough about the incredible people at River Dog Inn. I boarded my 10½-year-old German Shepherd with them while I was on my honeymoon overseas. Unfortunately, during his stay, his health suddenly declined due to cancer, and he became very sick. Being thousands of miles away, I felt completely helpless—but the staff at River Dog Inn stepped in and cared for him like he was their own. They didn’t hesitate. They called me immediately, kept me informed, administered his medications, and rushed him to the emergency vet when he needed it most. In a moment that could have been chaotic and impersonal, they were the exact opposite—calm, compassionate, and incredibly professional. What means the most to me is that my best friend wasn’t alone in his final moments. Even though I couldn’t be there, I know he was surrounded by people who truly cared about him and treated him with love and dignity. That is something I will never forget. Losing him has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through, but I find a lot of peace knowing he was in such good hands. River Dog Inn went far beyond what anyone could expect, and I will always be grateful to them for that. If you’re looking for a place that genuinely cares about your dog not just as a customer, but as family this is it. A big special thank you to Mrs. Kathy and Julie for everything you did for Ajax. I couldn’t sing higher praises about the staff at River dog inn.

We wholeheartedly trust the staff here with our dog, and he LOVES coming for daycare and occasional boarding! They are so attentive and accommodating. It definitely eases any anxieties we might have about being apart from him to know that he is having so much fun and being well cared for. And Kristen, the groomer, seriously has a magic touch!

We love coming to this place. It is a big enough open field for small doggies on one side and bigger ones on the other! Great place if you are single to meet all kinds of wonderful people 😉. And also to socialize, bringing the dogs is just an excuse to get together with friends. This is Marvin, Sheba and Bob! Say hi to them if you see them. Marvin is not little any more and everyone at the park is watching him grow 🪴.

I took my dog, Ella, to river dog inn for a year while I was at school in Memphis and it was the absolute best experience! Ella is a bit of an anxious dog and Kathy and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable. I would trust them with my girl anytime. I cannot recommend them enough!! We recently moved and I miss them every single day!
