Absolutely love this vet!!! I took my senior cat in just a week or two ago for a check up since she hadn’t been to a vet in years. They ran a full senior blood panel at a reasonable price and were very transparent about the costs from the start! The entire experience felt very personal and you could tell everyone in their office truly cared!! When my cat’s results came back the vet called and explained them to me and prescribed a wet food to help my cat’s upset stomach. Then right before the 4th of July they called to double check that I had enough wet food for her over the long weekend. This clinic is extremely attentive and definitely a great pick for amazing care in the Reno area!!!

I rarely write reviews but I love these people. Dr Phillips has been our vet for over a decade. She is so warm and thorough. Any partner of hers I’ve met has also been wonderful. The staff is kind and personable as well.

She took the time to listen to my concerns and came up with a treatment plan. The staff are very friendly and caring as well. The visit doesn’t end when you walk out the door. They call and check in to see how he’s doing and encourage me to call with and question or concerns. Thank you!!

I've just had one visit so far, another one scheduled soon, but I was very very impressed. First, when I went to make the appointment, I got a human on the phone immediately. Like that! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by staff who were smiling and welcoming, as if I was a well known established client. The waiting area is comfortable, clean, free of animal odors, and spacious enough to keep the animals at a distance from each other. I was quickly ushered into an exam room and waited only a few minutes for the Vet, Dr Wohrman (not sure I spelled her name correctly). My dog is a cattle dog who is completely uncooperative, but they handled him with great competence and compassion and didn't appear to take it personally when he growled at them. I loved it that they did not usher him away from me just to draw blood (not easy with him) like so many vets are doing these days. I know that in some cases that can make it better for the dog and the owner, but in many cases I think it stresses the animal out even more, and I think it should not be the automatic practice. I'm in my 60's and have been a vet assistant myself, this did not used to be a standard practice like it is now and I basically don't like it. I feel better if I know exactly how my animal is being handled. I felt listened to and respected at Aspen and I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

My wife and I came back to Reno a couple of years ago and needed to find a vet for our two French bulldogs. We saw a few vets in the area but were not feeling very good after a couple of appointments. We were recommended to bring our Frenchies over to Aspen Animal Wellness. WE could not have been happier with this veterinary care facility. All of the staff we have encountered have been highly professional and very very caring of our dogs. One of our frenchies we got from being a rehomed and he has some allergies as well as a very nervous little dog. Dr. Wehrman has shown compassion and kindness plus a very caring and excellent Dr. of our dogs. Both my dogs and my wife and I trust her and her staff and I would not hesitate to highly recommend this Veterinary clinic to anyone who listens and gives kindness and sound veterinary advice plus the online services are first rate. They have our pets as long as we are in Reno.
