Nice relaxing morning! Not much nature since it was in the 40's! Plus side no mosquitoes! If you go here please bring BUG SPRAY! Lots of potential damp areas during rainy season lots of man eaters!! 😆 Solid shaded hike though plenty of wildlife in area Deer, Black Bears, Gators, Owls and more possible sightings... The Owl was my find since it was too cold.

Nice quick walk. Just one trail there and taking same trail back out. Nice sitting place and bench about 30 minute walk in. It's Infront a pond. I've seen bear and deer prints and lots of different birds. Ducks hawks woodpecker and a blue jay. Dogs allowed.

Beautiful trail. But it is a facade for colonies of mosquitoes 🦟 and yellow/horse flies. I walked to the gate and back to the front (3ish miles) during the afternoon, not early morning or dusk when insects are normally out in large numbers. When I tell you I have 500 bites plus, it is no exaggeration. Please DO NOT enter if you are a mosquito sweet treat. I beg of you.

I've hiked this trail many times and my experiences have been mixed. Maintenance seems inconsistent especially in the rainy seasons. The frequency of wildlife is not exaggerated. I've seen bear, deer, venomous snakes, turtles, turkey, and other interesting birds and bugs on this trail. It does dead end into private property, so don't expect to get to the river unless you're willing to trespass (not recommended).

First time checking out this trail that's at the end of a neighborhood in Sabal Point. This trail is also part of the Wekiva River Buffer. It's a straightforward trail, that has shady areas within it to a dead end which is a closed gate to private property. That's where you turn around and head back. Some of the trail definitely needs maintenance. Also wear your bug spray as the flying insects are wicked here.
