This school went beyond all my expectations. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely care. We started with a group puppy class and my husband and I were impressed with how structured and well thought out they were with each week focusing on multiple topics. Our instructor, Lara, did a great job of giving each of us focused attention, and mixing things up in a way that kept all the pups engaged and excited to be there and to learn, even our pup who tends to be a little hard to focus. We also attended the puppy play groups, which were such a wonderful way to safely socialize my pup. The groups are well-supervised, and the trainers do an amazing job of matching puppies by size and temperament. My puppy came out of those sessions more confident and it helped a lot with crate rest skill practice after these sessions when he was very tired. We also took a couple of private lessons with Katrina which were perfect for focusing on some of our puppy’s specific challenges—like leash pulling and recall. Katrina explained things clearly, and gave us practical homework that is working really well. What stands out most is how much the trainers truly care about both the dogs and their people. They are a lovely group and really celebrate the progress of their students. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows in the results. If you’re looking for a place that combines professionalism, expertise, and genuine kindness, this is it. My puppy is growing into a well-mannered, confident, and happy dog thanks to their guidance. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Hannah. She is absolutely amazing! My puppy learned so much in Puppy 2 and we loved how she managed puppy playtime. She did such a great job of balancing very different puppies and taking challenges seriously while making them feel manageable. I’ve spoken and worked with dozens of trainers over the years and Hannah so far has been my favorite just based on how much she’s helped my dogs and helped me be a better handler for them. Kathy at the front desk was efficient and great with setting everything up. Looking forward to coming back to Andrea Arden for my pups!

The puppy day school is a GOD SEND! We got our 11 week old puppy, Mercy, 10 days ago and really needed an afternoon to just decompress a little. She seemed SO happy when we picked her up, and has been dead asleep for the last four hours lol. It’s so hard when they’re this little to find trustworthy places to take them to give yourself a little breathing room, and we’re so happy we sent her. We got home and immediately booked three more sessions 🤣 and the little report card is such an adorable thoughtful touch! We’re so glad we have this keepsake! We’ve also been doing Zoom sessions with Katrina who has been a really kind and supportive sounding board during a really chaotic transition period! Edit: we also started doing in home training sessions with Stefania (who works with Mercy at puppy day school) and it was SO helpful!! She gave us an actionable, reasonable game plan to help enable Mercy to spend more time alone happily and safely. She was understanding of our limitations and didn’t make us feel like there’s only “one right way” to train a dog (which a lot of our prior research led us to believe). We’re excited to put her recommendations to work and see where it takes us! Highly recommend in home sessions when dealing with something as specific and nuanced as teaching a dog to settle on her own in your home.

I only have AMAZING things to say about Hannah. From our very first session, she displayed an unparalleled level of expertise and dedication to the development of our Bernese Mountain Puppy, George. George quickly mastered foundational commands such as sitting and responding to his name after session #1. After three sessions, George knew how to sit, stay, "leave it", lie down, roll over, paw, spin, among others. Hannah's approach extends well beyond obedience training. She goes into depth with schedule management, effective potty training techniques, crate training (which before Hannah was SO challenging for us!!), and walk-training strategies. What sets Hannah apart is not only her profound knowledge, but her unwavering commitment to addressing every single question and concern my husband and I had. Whether in person or through prompt and thorough responses over email and text, Hannah ensured we felt supported every step of the way. I wholeheartedly recommend Hannah for anyone seeking professional and effective dog training. The transformation we've seen in George in just a few weeks is crazy!! You'll be so happy you did it.

Andrea Arden Dog Training was the biggest and best step forward for my pup Jasper and me. As a very young rescue, my pup needed guidance in puppy socialization and confidence building, as well as a job to play hard at. The trainers were amazing, force free and positive, winning Jasper over before I told them about her stranger danger-she loved them! This incredible team set us on the right path-Agility for life! Thanks to Katrina for moving us forward in agility (truly life changing), Andrea, Lara, Hannah, Melanie and the rest of the team for building our foundation and setting us up for success! Highly recommend!
