(from Google)I cannot express my gratitude for the staff here. My Betty got into a bag of tums and Advil and was admitted for an overnight stay. They kept calm the entire time and were so friendly is made me feel so much more secure. Betty has now been home for almost a week and is back to herself. Everyone from the doctors to the front desk staff were amazing. And the warm cookies?! Are you kidding?! I wish the human ER was like this.
I am incredibly grateful for the care we received. We came in for a respiratory emergency with my dog, Bourbon, and the team was amazing. Dr. Águilar clearly explained the treatment plan and the necessary tests. Thanks to the medication he prescribed, Bourbon has improved significantly in a very short time. Their passion and professionalism truly stand out. Highly recommended!
All the vets and technicians were wonderful! My cat had to be hospitalized to be unblocked after having urinary issues and they were super accommodating and took excellent care. They let us stay in the room with him up until the point of hospitalization. All three vets took very good care and explained the procedure as well as recovery care very well.
No other Vet ER in NYC has ratings as high as VEG ER for good reason. We came in yesterday for head trauma and was seen promptly. The three doctors who treated my dog: Dr. Donahue, Dr. Russell, and Dr. Turturro were capable and meticulous, discussing the symptoms and possible causes with patience and an emphasis that I understood everything that was happening. They took the situation seriously and made me feel like my dog was getting the best care possible. The support staff like Nathaniel were kind and patient too, making sure we had everything we needed, offering us water and snacks, and helped clean up an accident. They were proactive and accurate with time estimates which is rare for ER vets. I appreciate that they weren't pushy with any treatment plans, made sure to explain everything like the financial estimate and breakdowns multiple times, and that I understood everything that was happening every step of the way. The final cost turned out to be significantly less than the estimate, which has never happened at any of the other ERs we've been to. They offered to let me stay with my dog overnight in a private room which lessened the anxiety and stress for both my dog and me significantly. While other places have low-key treated me like a 'crazy pet parent', I felt like the doctors here really understands the bonds we have with our pets and did their best to make sure we were OK in a difficult time. Everything from beginning to end was designed to be incredibly thoughtful and engendering of trust, from the initial phone call where they make sure a doctor speaks to you over the phone before you even come in or pay, to the open floor plan so that nothing is hidden behind the scene, providing you a private room when needed with furnishings like blankets and dog beds, and involving you in the process as much as possible so you're there for your pet every step of the way. I can't ask for anything more and will always make the trek to see them over other closer ERs.
my sweet baby ate a rug and they were able to see her ASAP! she stayed for observation and eventual surgery and the entire staff made both of us feel comfortable and important from beginning to end. they were extremely communicative throughout her stay and kept me informed on what was going on and the plan going forward. so happy my baby is okay and now is relaxing at home. hopefully we won’t need emergency care anytime again soon but if we do, we will definitely be coming back!
