Amelia, I can’t thank you enough for your help on Saturday as we made the painful and difficult decision to return our newly adopted dog to the shelter. You assured me it was the right decision given that she would need many months of intensive training to become a well-balanced dog, and if we did not have the time and energy to dedicate to her, it was better to bring her back. After three private training sessions with Amelia of Smart Paws, our female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Mazzy, is no longer an embarrassment to take out on walks. Prior to the sessions, Mazzy was reactive to other dogs while out on walks. She would bark her head off and lunge at the direction of other dogs. Now, she is much more calm about seeing other dogs on walks. Amelia was very easy to work with and flexible in adapting different solutions for our problem to find the one that worked.
