(from Google)We went hoping to do some fishing and swimming. It was too hot to do much. The fishing wasn't going well like usual. Swimming cooled us off a bit. The beach is nice, water isn't very deep so good for kids. We didn't go to the playground but it looked nice. It was an adventure even without catching anything.
A wonderful little place. To either put kayaks in or take them out and go for a little hike on some of these fun little back roads trails they are even fun for bikes! I have been camping here in writing here since I was a kid and it's never boring
Great camp grounds! Great playgrounds for the kids, camp sites are nice size. Lakeside campground wasn't open when we were there for renovations, but Bellemy campground was great. Close water even if no water hookups on that side. Park ranger was very nice and helpful. Great access to trails as well!
Beautiful, peaceful, and Serene. I just love this little park that I have camped at for 30 years. This year, we rented the White Tail Cabin. Unfortunately, it was the weekend when we had 100°+ weather, but we had fun anyway. We hiked down to the river and walked up it, collected Yellow Birch Bark for fire starting with a flint and steal and it was too hot to have a fire to cook over so we went to town and had dinner at Driftwood Pizza which was delish although they need more than 1 Server on Saturday evenings...I felt bad for that Gal. All in all, it was a great weekend.
We had a fantastic family vacation renting a cabin in Little Sioux Park. The beach, Little Sioux River, and the playgrounds were awesome! We plan to come back.
