(from Google)I enjoyed listening to a free concert, Crossing the Line, at Glendale Park. There was ample parking, a paved pathway to walk on, pretty trees to sit under, and a bathroom nearby.
Brand new paved walking trail & covered picnic tables! Great job, guys! Basketball, tennis, playground, pavilion, restrooms, ball fields
Glendale Park has recently made quite a few renovations, so now there is a system of paved pathways and new picnic tables. The paved pathways have now added a lot more areas to walk, which is great to see. So many people were walking here regularly, so these renovations are just what this park needed. This was a pleasant surprise.
Every year, UE hosts a baseball tournament at this park for Little League. The baseball fields are BEAUTIFUL. Every year, mother nature is totally unco-operative and there is a heat wave and horrific thunderstorms. The volunteer crew at this park keep the baseball field beautiful and playable DESPITE flooding and all the havoc the weather throws at them. When the fields are NOT being used by Little league teams, it is a fantastic place to bring your kids and their friends for a game of ball, or just to hang out on the swingsets or have a picnic. They do have a HUGE bathroom facility and a concession stand that is open during Little League games. The hamburgers are really good!
We love it at Glendale park!!! We spend many nights in April and May at the park for baseball games and practice! Nice fields, nice playground, and a couple of nice pavilions to utilize for cookouts and get togethers. It's always the place to be during UELL season!!!
