(from Google)The doctor is good. Front desk does not tell you any prices before you get services. They charged me 30$ to trim my dogs nails. After asking why its 30$ the front desk girl gave me an attitude. U can go to petco and pay 8-10$ for a nail trim. They just lost a customer for 2 animals.
I appreciate each and everyone at Staten Island Vetrinary Group; a welcoming, warm atmosphere, where you are greeted by a kind team of good people, and offered the best solutions to improve quality of life for your precious fur babies. Dr. Jeffrey Kessler and Dana Keim, thank you so much for everything, for being there for my fur baby when he needed you. Continue to be a blessing to every creature placed in your care. God bless you all!
Dr Kessler is beyond amazing! My puppy Luna swallowed a piece of my earring and he was able to remove it. He’s really a compassionate and sincere human and if I can give him 10 stars I would. The only thing I’m kind of upset about is that I can’t get to him after hours if need be. I called the main number at around 8pm to ask a question, because my son accidentally gave Luna a treat, and I heard it’s not recommended to do so, as they induced vomiting today, but they’re closed. I wonder if I can get his email from anywhere.
This place is fine if your dog is young and healthy, I would not recommend bringing your dog here if your dog is older and /or sick. My dog had a swollen stomach and in checking my dog out giving X-rays ($1,000 for 3 X-rays by the way) it appears they somehow ruptured his spleen and would not own up to it. Before I brought him in he was fine only had a swollen stomach. I brought him home, he was out of it (so bad I called and asked if they sedated him) he had massive bloody diarrhea, then lethargic and unconscious for three days and never recovered. I’m not gonna talk about the bad advice they gave, and the lack of guidance for a dog that’s bleeding out, for instance, they did not even suggest Yunnan Baiyao when I told them what was happening. This was one of my worst nightmares lived out. Like I said if your dog is young and healthy you just need some regular flea and tick medicine prescribed the place is fine. Once your dog gets older and sick you may want to find a different veterinarian.
I’ve had numerous dogs throughout the years That or Dr Joe‘s patient. it’s been 7 years since I’ve had a dog they all have crossed the rainbow bridge . I just got a puppy and of course, had to bring my puppy back to Dr Joe . I couldn’t be more happier with Staten Island veterinary medical group. Love the staff very kind very helpful. You could see they love the animals as well as Dr Joe does I wouldn’t Bring my puppy kilo anywhere else 🥰🤗
