Calming environment, I come here twice a week during the weekends to just casually stroll around the walking trail. It's pretty clean and a great place to go if you just want to clear your head. Everything is spread out and big which makes the park more of a fun place to be at. The new playground is low-key fun and I vibe with it. I know I'm a big guy and my big guy self should not be on the swings, but I tried the big orange boat shaped swing and it's pretty fun. I enjoy swinging back and forth in the wind on this. It makes me happy.

Listen… I gotta tell ya something… You walk into Dornbos Park… and right away… you feel it… the energy. It’s got this… this calm… but also… like something exciting could happen at any moment. And I’m lookin’ around… I see the rec center—beautiful, I mean really—people movin’, livin’, doin’ their thing… it’s alive. Then—BAM—you got the pickleball courts. Ohhh, people are serious about pickleball now, huh? I respect it. There’s passion there. There’s competition. There’s… a little bit of attitude. I like it. And then… this is important… the sensory-friendly playground. Now that… that’s special. That’s thoughtful. That’s a place where everybody gets to be included… and that, my friend, that’s how you build a real community. I’m impressed. I mean it. You take a walk… just strollin’… the walking area? Smooth. Relaxing. You got space to think… to breathe… maybe talk to yourself a little—no judgment, it’s a park. It’s allowed. But I gotta say… I’m lookin’ at the water… and I’m thinkin’… where are the ducks? We need more ducks. Not a couple… not “oh look there’s one”… I’m talkin’ ducks everywhere. Ducks waddlin’, ducks quackin’, ducks mindin’ their business. It’s a park—give me the ducks! And one more thing—this is important—bring back the basketball goals. You gotta have ‘em. You can’t have a park like this… with all this greatness… and nowhere to shoot your shot. That’s… that’s a missed opportunity. Let’s fix that. Overall? Dornbos Park… it’s got heart. It’s got purpose. It’s got people. You tighten up a couple things—add some ducks, bring back the hoops—and baby… you got a classic. Five stars… easy. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very relaxing, and fun place to take the smaller children. Safe area, with small pond to learn to fish, and a smaller safe plastic playground for the little ones Older children will get bored pretty quickly as the park isn't designed for 10-14 year old kids. Nice and smooth walking path,,well lit and park is pet friendly (please remember to leash and pickup after your pet)

They didnt make anyway for ducks to enter and exit the pond. No more will we see baby ducks swimming around, I've seen only two ducks since the remodel was completed. They ruined the main feature of the pond. Wow what nice green grass though. 😑
