I always have a great time hiking in Apex Park. Today's adventure was a snowy one. Beautiful snow covered views. Wow! The trail wasn't too bad on the way up. But it might be time for me to invest in some ice spikes for my boots to make the trip down a little less hectic. And there are heated restrooms with plumbing! Love it! Highly recommend!!!

Beautiful area to hike. It looked fun and easy for mountain biking, although we went hiking!

This is a well maintained, well marked trail for running and mountain biking. Offers amazing views of Denver. If you're looking for a little elevation, and 5+ miles of many trail options, look no further. Great for taking in the sunrise.

This is a fantastic park with many trails to enjoy, for both bikers and hikers. We took the light rail from Union Station to Jeffco Gov center (line W) and walked (1.2 mile) to the Apex park. The park has restrooms and a couple of picnic tables before the trails. Lots of wild flowers, nice breeze and spectacular views. Wear appropriate shoes for hiking and bring a reusable bottle, there is water fountain at the park.

The trail is great and the enchanted forest part of it is magnificent. It’s a loop, so you can go either way, but to the side we went to the first 4 miles gain 1400 ft elevation and than you have a bit more than 3 miles alternating elevation with a general decline in elevation. It was a rather hot day and some parts of the trail are uncovered so make sure to prepare accordingly. Also, on odd days it’s a walking trail and on even days it’s a biking trail. Although we were there on an odd day, there were many bikes and some ride fast, so be careful. Rather busy trail with many hikers and dogs, lovely views, comfortable parking, just a few minutes from Golden, which is by itself very pretty.
