Alder Lane Beach Access

Nice and wide access all the way through. At the end it was a mat that extends a good distance so it makes it easy to walk on and bring your bikes. I had a tricycle that made it through with tons of space.

What a romantic getaway. Very clean beach! It was very busy but everyone respected eachothers space. There is No alcohol consumption permitted on the beach in the state of South Carolina. The sunset was breathtaking.

I came here in the winter so it was pretty cold and bare, but also meant it wasn’t crowded. It was still fun though. There were a lot of shells scattered throughout the beach, notably horseshoe crab shells. In the early morning, you could see the sand pipers feasting on clams that they caught. I also woke up one morning to see the sunrise. Very cold but also very beautiful. It was also cool to see the beach during low tide.

Hands down the best beach on Hilton Head in our family opinion. Less crowded and more people walking dogs and relaxing. Have to pay to park at the meters. 15 min for a quarter. Bring some quarters to pay for parking. It's a little bit of a walk to the beach from the parking lot but not too bad plus it's smooth and paved. We truly enjoyed it here. The second time we came there was a beach bunny we caught a picture of.

Nice and clean entry point to the beach. There are restrooms, showers (one of them is out of service though), and a very handy water fountain with bottle filler. Although I didn't use it, there is a metered parking lot right across S Forest Beach Dr.
