My experience here went from Great to very disappointing. I adopted my dog Marley a year ago from the animal shelter, she’s a large poodle mix. When I first got her she was extremely matted and I didn’t really know what to expect from her behavior at the groomers. Thankfully this salon worked with us, got her properly groomed, I was told that my dog was extremely difficult to groom so I tipped an extra $50 for the inconvenience. Also during our visit I overheard the ladies say they didn’t have a lot of large kennels so I donated one to them a few days later that was over $120, as another token of appreciation for taking care of Marley. Fast forward to now this is our 3rd or 4th time taking Marley to get groomed, but the experience keeps getting worst and the attitude about grooming our dog has been sarcastic & rude. My hope was that the more Marley saw the groomer and got more comfortable with the experience the easier she would be to deal with but unfortunately they’ve all but denied to see her any further. Which I’m not even completely upset with. The attitude about it and the sarcasm about our dog is what is uncalled for despite our good faith efforts to mend Marley’s difficulties I just didn’t appreciate the negative attitude and the snarky remarks. If you have a large dog who maybe difficult or you’ve adopted a new dog and may not know their temperament to get groomed then I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Modern Pet Salon Weddington always does a fantastic job. I’ve been going there for years. They take the time to understand any specific requests and take good care of my dog.

am beyond satisfied with how amazing my puppy Kairo looks after his grooming! The staff was absolutely awesome, friendly, and so patient with my little one. From the moment I walked in, the owner greeted me with such a warm, welcoming smile that instantly made me feel comfortable and confident that my pup was in good hands. The entire experience was smooth, professional, and full of kindness. My puppy came out looking fresh, clean, and happier than ever! amazing pet groomer! this was our first time and had a last minute appointment but they were able to squeeze us in! our baby girl came back so cute, even with bows and a bandana! and prices were amazing compared to other pet places. would recommend and will def go back again!
