Hobnob Pet

I was looking for a place for my dog to socialize and adventure out. The person i spoke with on the phone. I think her name is maddie just flat out said “we would be a good fit” because of my nervous dog who has anxiety and first meet can be overwhelming. She didn’t even ask how he is currently doing in his current day care, or how he does at vet visits. What i put in the form was “ anxious, very reserved and scared, has separation anxiety. Does well on walk, wants to sniff everything and everyone. He acts differently when i’m not around i’m told by my previous dog day care center. He knows spanish and basic commands responds to mateo or papá. He does not eat his food all at once, it’s a social eater, I leave out a cup of food out throughout the day at home and he snacks on it whenever he wants. He’s been this way since he was a puppy. He is great listening when treats are involved. Does not like to be stared down, I usually tell people to ignore him and let him come smell you and don’t make overly sudden movements when he’s approaching that might scare him. He does stare everyone down and will growl or bark but has never lunged or bitten anyone. Did socialize him as a pup at doggy day care full days, family and kids. Has never fully grown into being friendly off the bat with others. I am his person and we have a great bond so when i’m around he more in guard the usual.“ and did even let me explain further. He is on medication now and has more confidence. I specifically wanted this place because it stated on your website that you follow owners schedule on meals, have webcam access, and administer treats/ chews at owners discretion. i really cannot believe that i was denied boarding and daycare because I said he doesn’t like to stared down… which i did state it is only in the first meet. I’m looking for a new day care because i want him to broaden his socialization, and stated your place is too big for him and that he wouldn’t do well and to look for a smaller daycare. This was so rude, on your website it states a “of 15 dogs to 1 human” and i’m honestly shocked a place that values themselves in “healthy socialization” and “one on one interaction time” will deny anxious dogs insinuating that 15 dogs is a large group?! should I only look for a day care that has 5 dogs in their daycare/ boarding? this made no sense I’m writing this review because It WOULD of been a good fit for my dog based on services your website states you offer, but i guess that does not apply to me and my dog. That integration with your staff member made me grateful i didn’t give my money to your organization. A better customer service etiquette needs to be given, stating that “not looking him in the eyes” is strike for denial of services is insane when I didn’t say You could never look him in the eyes, and that “ we strive to set up dogs for success” what a crazy line to say after that reason. when i wrote “Does not like to be stared down, I usually tell people to ignore him and let him come smell you and don’t make overly sudden movements when he’s approaching that might scare him. He does stare everyone down and will growl or bark but has never lunged or bitten anyone.” I meant to say that he does this in his first meet with new people, He likes to stare and sniff you but doesn’t not like to be approached and this is only when i am present. He is very polite and friendly and will jump at you with a smile once he’s comfortable which only takes a few sessions. I would have explained this to the person who answered the phone but she didn’t let me to so, and i gave my reply and didn’t want to argue about it.

Hobnob is the best! The staff are great! We have 2 pups that go to “camp” twice a week & they love Hobnob. We’ve tried other doggy daycares but Hobnob checks all the best boxes. Thanks Hobnob!

We adopted Milo a little over a year ago and as soon as he was fully vaccinated and able we took him for his trial day at Hobnob. He loved it ! and we have been going ever since. We buy bulk packages of half days, which are great for cleaning days, and days where you have a lot of errands. We do at least once a week. It really helped with his socialization. We also use Hobnob for up to a week when it comes to vacations. The staff all know him by name and are very friendly and love the pups. Milo rushes in everyday time ready for a day full of play !

🐾 This place is AMAZING!! 🐶 My dog Toni loves it here. The staff is very sweet and great with the pups. 🐕 If your pup loves to swim, then this is the place. 🐩 The rates are great too! $4.60 an hour, which includes a swim, is a steal!!!

Hobnob has been fantastic for us. Our puppy is excited to go every time. She wriggles with anticipation and glee when she recognizes staff members walking in at the same time as us. Everyone there is incredibly sweet to her and she comes home tired but content. Drop off is quick and smooth, same for drop off. They remove collars and have 1 to 2 people watching the groups of dogs. They group by size and temperament so our gal has made some good friends. If you provide your food they will feed them. Samples can be offered if you forget. They also have sprayers/misters outside which is great for hot days. They also offer web cams, a swimming pool, nail trimming, and dog wash services. There is also a dog wash station for owners. Plus a very upscale shop with bedding, organic and primal foods and snacks plus feeders, toys, collars, etc., We also boarded our pup for 5 nights and she did great. We left our crate and bedding for night time and they left it for her with the door open. VERY happy with Hobnob and while they are a little more expensive than some of the others in the southern metro area they have been worth every penny.
