Very picturesque beach. It is fun to walk around and explore the pools. You might see very small fish, crabs, and sea anemones.

Amazing site. Just don’t mess with the sea-life folks.

This is La Jolla tide pools and part of children's beach where the seals hang out. Tide pools are truly amazing if you see it at low tide after a decent swing of the tides. Ive seen octopus in the past, a bunch of crabs, sea urchins, Sculpin fish, sometimes beached fish which can be strange creatures, mussels and shells and other things! Great place to bring the kids. Only things to watch out for is some rocks can be sharp, some super slippery so I recommend water shoes vs barefoot if getting in the water. I just wear sneakers and avoid the water like a strategic game. Also, this is La Jolla and parking can be crazy so remember to be patient especially if wanting to park close. Also right next to it is a cove that is for kids to swim, but also pupping place for seals during sometimes of year. Neat to see while at pools.

Easy to get too and very cool! Wish we got to see an octopus but we saw a starfish and that was pretty neat! You can walk all over the area with shoes easily, just avoid the dark spots which are slippery. The water is so clear and watching the waves break on the rocks was beautiful! We would definitely go back!

Wonderful experience. Tones to see. Wildlife, sea creatures. The landscape is beautiful. Watch ur step. It’s slippery. Worth a visit. So much to take in. We spent about 1.5 hours just staring down and all the beauty below.
