Urgent Care by Pawprints

I recently brought one of my rats in to have a mammary tumor evaluated and removed. We saw Dr. Hicks for the first evaluation, and followed up with Dr. Dunn the next week for the surgical procedure. The care my girl Cricket received was absolutely fantastic! I was so relieved to find a veterinary clinic who was comfortable performing tumor removal surgery on small animals. Their treatment plan was excellent, and I was especially impressed by the pain management they provided after she had her surgery. They sent us home with pre-filled syringes of meloxicam, which was super convenient and easy to administer. Then in addition to the meloxicam, they also sent us home with a written prescription for gabapentin, which I was easily able to get filled at a Walmart Pharmacy. The gabapentin made a huge difference in her recovery. It helped keep her sleepy enough to where she wasn’t constantly interfering with her incision site. The location of her tumor was not ideal, so she had to have staples put in to help close the incision. The staff was extremely helpful and responsive to my concerns as to whether or not the incision site was healing properly. They offered multiple options to ease my mind- either sending in a photo, or bringing her back in to be evaluated in person if I felt it was necessary. I really appreciated their flexibility. She healed up nicely, and I was able to take her back in (10 days post surgery), to have her staples removed at no charge. After our previous veterinary office closed last year, it has been a struggle to find a local veterinary clinic that is comfortable seeing exotic/pocket pets. I am so grateful for the team at PawPrints, and their willingness to provide exceptional care for small animals! It’s also worth mentioning that PawPrints accepts Cherry- which allowed me to put down a deposit the day of surgery, and then split up the remaining balance into interest free payments. This was such a life saver for me, as I had just finished paying for another surgical procedure right before I had to have Cricket’s surgery done! The approval process was fast and super easy. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for help with a payment plan. I really can’t say enough good things about everyone who worked with us. The whole team was simply wonderful! The vet techs were especially caring and supportive. I felt really safe leaving her the day of surgery and could tell she was in great hands!

I have used Pawprints 3 times when our vet was closed. Each time Mittens (my cat) has received excellent care. The staff was wonderful each time. From the receptionist up to the doctor, everyone was friendly and caring. They were very upfront about procedures and costs. They explained everything very clearly and went over options and the pros/cons of each one. While the care of my pet is my number one priority, the staff was also concerned with our comfort while we waited. If there was anything negative for me to say is just that you never know which doctor you will see. That is, however, pretty much a mute point as they are a walk in urgent care facility and not a regular veterinarian office. Therefore, I have absolutely no negatives, only praise and appreciation!

This was our first trip to Urgent Care by Pawprints and we were extremely satisfied! Checking in for the first time was easy, they took our pup right away, and explained her treatment thoroughly. We were treated with respect, they are very professional, and Sandy felt their love. Sandy was successful treated and her at home care was explained. We highly recommend them.

I have to say urgent care by paw prints has been a experience that has been beyond my expectations. Me and my wife both agree that everyone there are truly exceptional people. Within a couple months we have had to have two of our dogs put down. The worst day of your life will be loosing your best friend that you love. Everyone there was so great in making this experience happen so peaceful. We have had a Chihuahua momma needs met with super results and a puppy. I would just like to say that I was very impressed with Urgent Care! The staff was very nice, and courteous to us, and showed great care and concern for our little dog Nova! They took the time to listen and talk to us about what was going on, and about what had happened, and what they needed to do to help her! They gave us options for what they could do, and recommendations for what we should do first, so Nova would get the best care and help with her situation! We was very happy when we left, and Nova was feeling better too! Since the visit, she is recovering well, and on her way to getting back to 100%!! Just want to thank all the staff at Urgent Care, for their care and concern with Miss Nova! We will definitely be recommending you all to everybody we know that has a pet care need!!
