Animals were kept in cramped and terrible conditions. Saw this canary that looked like it had a prolapse and wasn’t moving, along with many other birds that were clearly showing signs of stress. All the animals were kept with no hides, no enrichment and no space. The people were rude, we said hello when we came in and they gave us a look and didn’t respond. I’d go to a place where they actually care for the welfare of their animals and are friendly towards their potential customers.

Edited: We came across a hedgehog a week ago. Guy didn’t know the gender and said 4 months. Charged us 100$. Was in a small 10 gallon aquarium tank. Gave it almost a week. Something was wrong. We took the baby to Repticon to see if someone there had any knowledge. Thankfully a lady was there that had plenty of knowledge. Told us we have a girl and she’s about 2 months and she has a broken leg and possible spinal injury! Probably from being dropped. I’m so upset now I have to learn about a disabled baby. We took her to the vet after spending almost $500 found out she does not have a broken leg but has Metabolic Bone Disease! From poor nutrition. She is now on meds to help with pain and inflammation!

As someone with extensive experience in animal care, I can confidently say this place is in serious need of education and intervention. The cages and tanks are filthy—likely untouched for months, if not years. Birds are crammed into tiny enclosures, and the cages for sale are far too small for humane living. A guinea pig was kept in a dirty fish tank filled with feces, with filthy water, no hay, chews, or hiding place—basic necessities. Fish tanks offer no ventilation for small mammals, which likely explains the flies inside. All fish tanks had cloudy, dirty water, dead fish floating, and species improperly housed together—such as goldfish (cold-water, high-ammonia producers) with angelfish (tropical, different PH and temp needs), showing a clear lack of basic aquatic knowledge. We didn’t see reptiles, but the empty enclosures were clearly unsuitable—no UVB lighting, which is essential to prevent MBD. Previous reviews showed signs of serious neglect, like a severely malnourished leopard gecko. While the staff member was friendly and they carried some hard-to-find supplies, it doesn’t excuse the blatant neglect. Several birds appeared sick or injured, and the odor throughout the store was beyond normal—speaking as a former zookeeper, this was not just “animal smell.” I sincerely hope the owners and employees of this buisness spend some time researching basic animal knowledge and care…

Family owned pet shop. Berry friendly and helpful. Very large selection of beautiful bites asst affordable prices. They showed me two birds that were being hangs feed and trained. Veariety scanned from finches tho parrots tho exotic love birds. They also had young and adult chickens. All three cages were clean. It was clear that they care about their pets. They a also had chinchillas, rabbits and other animals. I would feel very comfortable buying from here. Large selection of foods also. Worth the visit :-)
