(from Google)I do at least 1-2 run or bike rides every week during the summer. Sunday is especially nice where the highway is closed for pedestrians. Never knew that there is a dam and a park at the trailhead. The trail is perfect for marathon runners and bike riders
Great bike ride from Mount Vernon to Valhalla and back.
Well worth a nice hike or bike!
I've only been to this park early during the weekdays and felt like I had this beautiful place all to myself, perfect place to sit/walk reflect and have a peace of mind
The Bronx River Pathway covers apt 12 miles from Kensico Dam in Valhalla to Bronxville. It follows the Bronx River, hence its name, and is located within a reserve that is home to many species of wildlife . The pathway is paved, well maintained, and is suitable for running, walking, and cycling. It can be used year-round, but it isn't lit at night. As a runner, the Bronx River Pathway is one of my favourite places to exercise. I would recommend to anyone looking to get some fresh air outdoors.
