(from Google)Our recent visit with Dr Hammond and staff was great. I never feel rushed and my questions are always answered. I can tell the team really cares for their patients. My cat Frank has been in treatment at Pieper since July 2025. In that time the vet techs remember him when we visit which is amazing considering the amount of patients they see. Dr Hammond has been great explaining Frank's situation and outlook. His care plan for Frank has been on point for how Frank responds to treatment. Dr King has been very responsive and supportive throughout our treatment. The whole staff has made this process less stressful for me. The care plan provided to me has been spot on throughout our experience with the hospital.
After reading the bad reviews I wasn’t sure if bringing My 14 year old poodle barbie who was in Critical condition. She had severe pancreatitis and a diabetic crisis. Her pancreas was failing and her blood sugar became dangerously high, which caused multiple organ stress. I ended up transferring her here despite this. The lady on the phone was very friendly, Our doctor Jessica urbonas wasn’t far behind. We ended up putting Barbie down :( thank you for being so kind during this difficult time:
Pieper is always always always the best! Every time we go, I am truly made to feel like each employee loves my dog as if she were their own. French Fry has seizures, and they have taken such incredible care of her for the past 3 years. We love her like a child, and we trust Pieper implicitly with her care. Dr Perkins is wonderful. I have never once had a bad encounter with any employee at Pieper. Everyone is compassionate and kind, and I am so grateful a place like Pieper exists.
The situation with Leo is a difficult and emotional one as he has cancer. It started with a visit a while back to the ER when something was off and since then we are on an unexpected journey. While the ER visit was insanely emotional for us I am pleased to have pushed forward with Oncology and Dr. Carreras. She has been kind, caring and knowledgeable each time we have been there and we are more fortunate than some others in that we are seeing some positive results. The work that all of you do there must be gut wrenching at times as you see animal after animal, some with positive outcomes and others not so much. I can only speak about these recent months and our appointments but I have always felt that you have Leo in your best interest. Dr. Carreras and the oncology staff have been amazing.. The whole situation sucks more than I can convey but we are at this point now and you guys have been nice and that is appreciated.. I am not sure it is one thing thing that has shaped my thoughts here as much as just a "I feel like I am in the best place I can be at right now" feeling.
I highly recommend Pieper Memorial Veterinary Hospital as well as Dr. Hammond and his team in the Neurology department. February of 2025 I rushed my girl Libby to Pieper Emergency where she stayed for 9 days in ICU fighting for her life. Neurologist, Dr. Hammond, his team as well as their coworkers saved her life. Libby was diagnosed with an Autoimmune Disease in February and she is still under the care of Dr. Hammond. Friday, November 15, 2025 Libby experienced a flare up and I rushed her back to Pieper Memorial Veterinary Hospital where she was examined and a new health plan was put in place for. I'm happy to say she is looking & feeling much better than she was on Friday. I can't thank Dr. Hammond, Pieper Emergency and everyone who works their enough for their kind, caring, compassionate, knowledge care they have given and continue to give not only Libby but myself as well!
