Half Moon Bay Coastal Trail

Nice walk. Trail can be challenging when trying to get down to the beach. There are stairs down to the sand but those are on Poplar beach which is probably a couple of miles north.

As soon as I sat down a lot of friendly Ravens surrounded me. It was nice out there. There was another spot across the way for campers that looks very comfortable. They had running water bathrooms that were clean. And plenty of picnic tables

As a lifelong Bay Area resident, it's easy to overlook the beauty of nature around us in our little corner of the world. You don't have to go far to enjoy a variety of scenery and microclimates. This coastal trail, for instance, reminds me a bit of Ireland with the rugged cliffs... the lush greenery... the fog. If you haven't already, take the windy drive down HWY 92, it's totally worth it.

Breathtaking views! If you're lucky enough to find a parking spot, this walk is pure beauty. Pay attention to the trail signs so you don't wander down a golf path. The path is hilly but paved, so the walking is easy. And you'll want to keep stopping to take in the viewed. Take a walk by the Ritz Carlton. Such a beautiful area!

This is a wonderful trail! Being next to the Pacific Ocean and feeling the coastal breezes must create a refreshing and relaxing atmosphere. It's great that there are public restrooms available along the trail, making it convenient for visitors. Biking or walking there during hot summer days must be especially enjoyable with the cool ocean air. It's like experiencing a vacation while staying active.
