(from Google)Great 4 Mile Nature and hiking trail. The main trail there and back is 4 MI but there are additional small trails off of the main trail that you could go off and make your hike longer. The main trail is a dirt paved real and well-kept, The smaller ones are grassy unpaved trails. The trail is halfway shaded halfway open sun. It was quite busy the morning I went so parking was limited and it seems like a lot of the other people who use the trail that bring their dogs do not clean up after their dogs which is a little bit annoying. But other than that a great spot.
We went with the specific intention of finding wildlife and it did not disappoint! We saw several alligators, venomous snakes and were the only folks on the trail. If you are with your children or dogs keep them close as there was an abundance of snakes right on the trail.
This is a very nice trail. It has shaded trails as well. We enjoyed it a lot. We only walked until we reached the campfire site, but there was more to go. We took our time enjoying it.
Great nature area... lot of plants and big bugs... sandy road is flat and easy to walk. Fast way to get away from civilization. Went at 730 am ... just right time for sunlight without getting cooked...
Not really a trail, more of a road, but still an enjoyable walk through the area. There were plenty of birds and butterflies out while I was there. There is next to no parking at the entrance though, so be careful.
