Beautiful beach, clear water, lots of shells, and the parking is a short walk from the beach. Parking is paid by the hour.

Went here on Thursday. Snack bar and restrooms were closed for some type of construction. There were 2 porta poties and plenty of parking. I paid $15 for 3 hours of parking and no amenities. The beach was fine, but there are better ones in the area.

We were visiting St. Pete for the Dali Museum and had some time after it closed, so we decided to catch a sunset by the beach. After checking reviews of a few nearby options, we chose Upham Beach Park—and it did not disappoint at all. The beach was beautifully calm when we visited on Christmas Eve. What stood out most was the endless line of shells along the shore, making it feel raw and untouched. As the sun dipped lower, birds moved through the golden light, creating stunning silhouettes—perfect for photos and just soaking in the moment. It felt quiet, peaceful, and far from crowded, which made the sunset even more special. A great spot if you’re looking for a relaxed golden hour experience without the usual tourist rush.

White sands and beautiful sea Life. Sand dollers and hermit Crabs swimming freely. Be mindful they are in their home. Please be kind and let the sea Life stay in its home. Beautiful pictures taken instead of life last longer than a sea shell in the yard. God bless!

Very clean beach with lots of natural seashells, but not so many that you cut your feet up. Plenty of space for large groups. Love the volleyball courts there! Always action happening. They have double the parking of a standard beach in our area, which is wonderful! They also have community water always available and a kids Santoy box for anyone who forgot to bring something to play with in the sand. I love the communal aspect of this beach. Feels very local.
