Canine Scholars Dog Training

We can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience with Canine Scholars. Jason is knowledgeable, patient, and thorough! He helped us work through leash pulling, reactivity, and off leash training. He really took the time to understand our dog’s personality and our goals and was always patient with answering all of our questions (which there was many!). The results have been incredible and he is always willing to help when more questions come up. If you’re looking for someone who is professional, compassionate, and truly invested in your success, I highly recommend Jason. It was one of the best decisions we’ve made for our dog and our family!

We have been so happy with the board and train services our dog received with canine scholars. Pretraining, walks were getting nearly impossible due to constant pulling. Now, our dog walks perfectly with each member of our family, young kids included. The training has allowed us to include our dog in more activities making him truly a family dog and a member of our family.

Canine Scholars was recommended to me by a neighbor after I asked how and why her dog was so well behaved! Both Chris (adult training) and Michael (puppy training) trained all three of our large breed dogs. We have been very pleased with each training session. The dogs have been well taken care of, well treated and returned to us in great shape. Even though it is training and work our dogs have 'enjoyed' their time away. This is evident by the dogs excitement when they have seen Chris and/or Michael weeks/months after training for boarding. More importantly though, the dogs are returned to us well trained and we are armed with tools and tips on how to reinforce and maintain the training at home. Highly recommend!!

We sent our 8 month old puppy to the 2 week board and train with the goal of a well trained dog. When it was time to get Luca back, Chris spent one on one time with us showing us all Luca has learned, how we can implement it, and how we can correct it. Walking Luca is so much more enjoyable now! He now walks by our side, pays attention to us, and is way less reactive to people and animals walking by than he used to be. Luca is now able to “place” in a busy park! Nothing we could’ve achieved without Canine Scholars. They are very in tune with dogs and have so many tips and tricks. This was a great investment! Having a well trained dog is invaluable! We were thrilled to discover Jason and his company, Canine Scholars Training. Our golden retriever, Hadley Rose started her training with Jason at 6 months old. Jason met with us and listened to our goals and then worked to achieve them. He is truly like the "dog whisperer!" Hadley immediately took to him and followed his direction. We too, as puppy parents listened to Jason's insightful advise and worked with Hadley. It was so convenient for Jason to meet with us at our home in Hadley's normal environment. We too, traveled to local parks to add in plenty of distractions so Hadley could really learn how to behave in public arenas.
