Used to bring my kids here until it felt too unsafe with all the homeless people that use it for shelter. I even had a homeless woman approach me once when I stopped in my vehicle to take a picture and said that kids were in school to come back later. The city doesn't care about this park. The splash pad across the street is much safer and the kids love it. There's also the playground by the Apopka Ampitheatre. This playground COULD be great if anyone who has power to do something cared more about kids in Apopka then dealing with homeless.

It’s crazy that there are a bunch of reviews of homeless people in the area and it continues to be like that and no one does a single thing. It stays full all day no matter what time you call the office of the park multiple times a week no answer or a callback call the police department. They don’t do nothing, and have talked about writing to the mayor to avail. it is ridiculous because this park and area is genuinely nice and beautiful the larger park have homeless people because there is no shade or where to sit as opposed to this Lil station park which has a huge pavilion with multiple tables and plenty of shade and bench for them to use to sleep. It. It’s crazy that the city of Apopka allows us and does not do anything to remedy the situation by moving them to a homeless shelter or removing them from the area. I understand people go through things, but this is a children’s playground not a shelter for the homeless or for drug users that be injecting themselves in the veins in the middle of the park front of others it’s the point where they don’t care who sees them…….

Beautiful park that is unfortunately overrun by the homeless. Apopka police don’t care and say that they are allowed to be here from opening to closing if they want. It’s unfortunate because it makes it unsafe for kids to have 10+ adults with no children watching our kids play every day. It’s always the same group of homeless so I’m pretty sure they live here. The city needs to invest in a homeless shelter instead of letting them take over our kids’ play areas. There are restrooms close by that are nice. The table area is covered so it provides nice shade.

We came here because it was next to the trail and we’re glad we stopped by. It was a good pit stop for the little one considering we were biking off a while. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to explore the big park, we only checked out the little park.
