We had an excellent experience at BluePearl San Antonio. Our dog has fear aggression, but every staff member — from the front desk to the doctor — was patient, kind, and incredibly accommodating. They helped make a stressful situation feel manageable. When we learned surgery would be the next morning, we were worried about driving 2.5 hours home and back or finding a hotel that would accept our anxious pit bull. The staff immediately offered to board her overnight, which saved us money and gave us peace of mind. When we picked her up, they had everything ready — medication, clear instructions, an E‑collar, a mobility harness — all the things we needed to focus on what mattered: helping our girl heal.

My sweet bloodhound became very very sick, very very fast. Thank god Blue Pearl is open 24 hours. They took care of her and got her back to herself. Be warned, it’s VERY expensive. It’s absolutely emergency prices you pay but to save a life of a loved one is worth every penny. THE ALSO OFFER MILITARY DISCOUNT! and when you have a very large bill, it can go a very long way in helping. Thank you Blue Pearl the doctors and nurses who always called or gave me great updates when I called and let me come see her and gave her kisses when I couldn’t. We are forever grateful 🥹

Phenomenal experience at BluePearl. From the first call we were assured and welcomed by Kellie, who went to extra mile to ensure Niki would be priority . From the moment we walked in Gabi immediately called attention to Niki’s labored breathing and called for a nurse immediately. Please not we went to mission vet 10 minutes prior and they did not do this, so I am so appreciative to Gabi’s urgency in making sure my baby got the care she needed and deserved. We also were helped by nurse maddie who vividly asked for Niki’s background and was so calm and welcoming to us. I don’t remember our doctors name but she also presented us with a calm Demeanor in helping us evaluate options. As much as she is a doctor she was so human and was onboard with helping us give our sweet girl a fighting chance. I am so thankful BluePearl was proactive and kind work our Niki when no other emergency vet was. I highly recommend them to anyone. They know how precious our Niki is to our family she is like the 4th child and they are treating her as that!!🩷🩷🩷🩷

Our less than a year old tabby named Hopee ate the 4x4 absorbent pad placed under meat before I could catch her. We rushed her to Blue Pearl Pet Hospital. The vet on duty was kind and we could tell she was knowledgeable and cared about our baby. After explaining that Hopee has pica (eats non-food items) she felt her stomach and explained how fast animals digest food as compared to humans; therefore, it was no longer in her stomach. She explained what she could still do and the cost. We opted to try inducing vomiting but it was too late. Nothing was in her stomach. We are praying it passes through her and doesn't block her wet food. She has been at home a few days now and appears to be her playful self. All prayers welcome though. She was named Hopee for a special reason and would be heart broken if anything happened to her.

We can’t say enough about the incredible team at BluePearl Pet Hospital. When our boy Otis needed emergency surgery, they acted fast getting him in immediately and even calling in a surgeon who arrived quickly. The surgeon was not only highly skilled but incredibly kind. She repaired his hole (which was causing bacteria to spread in his stomach) and went above and beyond by carefully checking everything else before closing, making sure he had the best possible outcome. After surgery, she and her team took the time to walk us through what comes next and patiently answer all of our questions about his recovery. Every single person we interacted with showed so much compassion and care. They reassured us during one of the scariest moments by telling us what a great boy Otis is and how much the nurses loved taking care of him. The surgeon even called us later that morning to tell us that he was so much better. They allowed us to visit and sit with him while he was staying there. This surgery truly saved his life, and we will forever be grateful for the quick action, expertise, and genuine kindness we experienced. Thank you for giving our 10 year old boy more time❤️
