(from Google)Restroom available , also multiple kids playground can spend some time with kids and family but Multiple trails including broad walk were closed , only one short trail had walking access as of 3/22/2026
Nice and clean park. Although I was disappointed that only one of the trails was open. It appears they are not attempting to fix the other trails because they are all overgrown. Based on the pictures, it looked like you can reach the lake and the gazebo which looks very pretty. I was unable to find any route to see any of that.
Although half the trails were closed when we went it was still a very lovely place to explore. There were no bear encounters. It would appear that the wildlife are used to humans though we didn’t bring food because we don’t usually do that unless it’s specified that it’s allowed but seemed like they wanted food. Very beautiful park. Definitely returning when they reopen the other side.
We’ve been visiting Lake Lotus Park for quite a few years now and it’s a great place to take your family. The rangers are attentive, fishing is always a great option and the tragic, albeit short, is an educational experience. Nice park for a picnic too.
This little park is just the bees knees. Since moving to the area a few years ago, I’ve been lucky to live just 2 minutes away from this hidden gem. There’s a lot of foot area for exploring on their trails (most of which are on risen wooden boardwalks), plus the playground and of course the lake towards the back of the park where there’s always someone fishing. There’s a butterfly garden near the parking/playground areas where I’ve seen massively cool looking caterpillars, incredibly deep colored flowers, and a plethora of butterflies. My one complaint about this park is that it’s closed on weekdays (it’s closed Mon-Wed). I used to have another complaint regarding the trolley, but now that the pandemic has affected everything, there is no more trolley (yay!). You used to have to park on the other side of the main street to ride a trolley if you wanted to get in the park on weekends. Never made sense to me. If you want to disconnect from the noise of the city, the news, and everything else, but can't go too far from home? Come here. If you easily find the magic in nature, this place is quite the adventure compared to most other parks in the area. You will be absolutely delighted.
