I’ve bought a hamster at this location before, it died within a week. I bought two birds at this location, one full of life and one a lot more calm little did I know the calm one was sick and died in less than a week as well. Now I’m stuck in a scenario where I have one live bird who is HEALTHY, and stuck looking elsewhere for a partner

I haven't been in a Petco in a bit. I was very happy with the cat food selection. From senior cats to kittens. We now have two kittens. I should have checked out Petco for our senior cat the selection is great. But now I'm at the beginning again with kittens,no senior cat. I will be shopping here more. Greeted as I came in door,friendly cashier. Overall a great experience.

I was trying to do a return for one simple item and the associate, eden, was very dismissive and refusing to help, and also gossiping to another coworker about me for not having the receipt for one item. She said she was not going to waste time to look through my account for the item, and that was fine, but when i asked for help to find the order on my account on my app because it wasn’t showing anything on the app despite shopping there many times, i asked another coworker for assistance and i was also dismissed. This is the only time ive felt disrespected at this store, and makes me not feel welcome. I had no problem with the refusal of the return, but the way that they handled it and were being disrespectful and dismissive for no reason despite me being polite was very disheartening.

I just had the most wonderful customer service experience. Brisa had so much patience with me, I had so many questions, being this is my first time bringing my kiddos to petco hospital. She was also very knowledgeable, made my making appointment a breeze. Thank you 😊

Animals at PETCO deserve better care - this must change. I was very concerned after visiting this PETCO location and seeing the condition of the small animals. These are living beings, not products, and they deserve much better care than what I witnessed: •Hamsters: I saw a hamster with inflamed eyes who clearly needs medical attention. The cages smelled very strongly of urine, the bedding was old and dirty, and there were many droppings. Ammonia from dirty bedding can cause serious health problems (eye and lung issues), and it was heartbreaking to see. •Guinea pigs: These animals are priced at $59.99, yet they are kept in overcrowded cages with very little space. I saw guinea pigs sitting on top of each other, and one had matted fur, showing that no grooming or basic care was being provided. For such a price, the least that should be offered is clean cages and brushed, healthy animals. •Rats: The white albino rats are sold for only $6.99. In reality, rats are among the most intelligent and social pets you can have. They can learn tricks, bond deeply with humans, and show affection - yet here they are treated mainly as feeders, kept in crowded cages with no enrichment. It is heartbreaking to see such smart animals treated this way. The smell, the dirty cages, and the neglectful conditions make it obvious that these animals are not being cared for daily. This is unacceptable for a company that profits from selling living creatures. 👉 I strongly urge PETCO management to take immediate action: provide clean bedding, proper grooming, medical care when needed, and enough space for every animal. Customers notice these things, and animals deserve compassion and respect. Animals are not products. They are living beings, and PETCO can and should do better. Update (after owner’s reply): The owner asked me to call them privately. I will not. This issue must remain public, because these are not “products” we are talking about — these are living beings. Animals are not merchandise to be sold like objects. They deserve clean cages, fresh water, medical care, grooming, and the chance to be adopted into loving families, not neglected and displayed in filth. I have provided photos: long-haired guinea pigs with matted fur, hamsters crammed in tiny cages, one with eyes crusted shut who then disappeared, food bowls mixed with waste, and even a fly trapped inside a supposedly closed enclosure. This is not “top priority care,” this is systemic neglect. Do not ask customers to “call” you. Show the public that you care by fixing the conditions, because until then, the neglect is visible to everyone who walks into your store.
