The hiking trail I was going to, was guarded by a big Army Truck., and prohibited to enter. So I google another hiking trail near Tarzana, Ca., and I found this one. Corbin Canyon Park. It’s very easy, and short, but it’s beautiful. Perfect for people with dogs and kids.
This place is nice, quiet and different to other canyons I've been to. It's fairly flat at the north end, and there are two paths alongside a valley that don't meet often. The path isn't great and there's dog mess left on the path often.
Followed google map directions but it did not take me to an entrance so I had to drive around until I found a way in. It was a nice hike and we made it to the cave.
PROS Quiet Not very crowded Great for a quickly hike Good for trail running Easy residential street parking Loops into other trails CONS No shade No water: streams, waterfalls, etc. Dry in the summer Kinda boring, but good for an easy quick workout Mostly flat, some incline options
