Beautiful peaceful and fun to watch the big trains chug past on the opposite side of the creek.
What a hidden gem. This area has limited parking in the main area. You can generally find a spot, but it does get crowded. This trailhead has an updated park for 5-12 year olds. It had two park benches and one grill. There are two large fields to fly kites or run around. It is a great trailhead for biking to Shawnee Mission Park. It is heavily treed for nice shade. Be sure to map it, as it’s tucked behind a housing development. This is a great (smallish) family park.
Hooks you up to a looooong trail system. Either direction is pretty for walkers and bicyclists.
What a wonderful hidden gem. A beautiful park with a lovely stream running through it, with access to trails. A nice little playground that's brand new too
