There’s no park and actually hard to even fish from banks. Pretty pathetic to call this a park. It definitely no park, would even want to take my dog there with all the trash! Can’t call it a park, no restrooms either!
This is not a park, it's a sketchy short trail. For all Charlottesville nice parks this isn't one. Trash everywhere and homeless people. Stay away
A bit shady and a rough drive in costing me a tire. But a decent place to go fishing overall.
Great place for a SUP. Even though the river is low this time of year, I paddled down river yesterday evening (5-6) and rarely got caught on rocks or a shallow spot. The water is nearly still, so it's great for watching life below the surface. I have never seen so many turtles and gar of all sizes. I even saw a beaver swim right under my board.
