This coffee shop was so cute, and I really appreciated that they stayed open a little later than most spots. It was great to have solid food options too, not just coffee. The chai latte was excellent, and the paninis were absolutely on point. Definitely a place I’d come back to when I’m craving a cozy café vibe with good food to match. ☕🥪

I came here to pick up coffee for a work event and was so sad I couldn't stay. The employees are so kind, the vibes are relaxing, and the coffee is GOOD. I ordered a to-go box of drip coffee and had an iced latte, both of which were phenomenal. Most importantly, I feel good about spending my money in a place that is social-justice oriented and advocates for others. I will absolutely be back!

I was in the area and needed a quick bite and a cup of tea. Unlike most of the shops in this part of town, particularly to the west, there's lots of street parking at the Whittier Cafe. The folks were wonderful, the tea and food I ordered were perfect, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. There's an outdoor seating area too, so I'll be back in warmer months to come. Five stars and two thumbs up!

An absolute gem! I stopped here purely because I needed to use the bathroom (and fine, I'll admit that I didn't NOT need to get some coffee and a scone) and.I was nearby, and as luck would have it I stumbled upon this amazing place. The coffee and scone were delicious, of course, but the atmosphere was what makes this place stand out. In these disturbing and terrifying times being in a space so clearly devoted to fighting injustice, racism, xenophobia, homophobia, and all of the other forms of hated that are spreading like wildfire locally, statewide, nationally, and globally is a breath of fresh air. As a white, male-presenting US citizen I know that the most I have to worry about (at least for now...) is being "accidentally" detained temporarily. But my husband and most of my friends are refugees from Venezuela facing an unknown but certainly awful future and it often feels like no one else in this country thinks of them as fully human and deserving of the same basic human rights, opportunities, and ability to live with their families without fear or starvation. And of course the situation is the same for people from countries all over the world, usually as a direct result of the actions of the US. Anyway I'm getting off track, as usual. A+, 20/20, 100%. Great coffee, great baked goods, and lovingly tended plants. If you're in the area, or even if you're not, definitely stop by. I promise you won't regret it.
