(from Google)Fun and pretty but, it needs more direction signs cause there are many places where the road branches off left, right and in the middle. Even using a trail map online it's tough because of lack of signage. We had to ask people questions several times. Otherwise, it's a beautiful path and in our case a nice bike ride.
We loved the Swamp Rabbit trail! it's an easy pedal, basically flat. Lots of places to stop and eat/drink - even if you think you're not hungry - it's fun to stop! There are some street crossings, heed the traffic crossings, cars don't auto stop for bikes. It's not terribly long, you can ride end-end and back to car fairly easily. It was a Thurs afternoon, and the trail was busy - lots of parent/kids, bikes and walkers. Overall, folks were polite riders. Only one gal was racing another and failed to stay in their side of the trail. We loved the trail, it's pretty, flat and has lots of diversions!
As a local, I love being able to walk/ride/run the SRT. Plenty of options for access and length along a paved path. Weekends get pretty busy, but itβs never been too crowded to enjoy. My favorite path is from downtown Travelers Rest to either Furman or the Commons for a snack and back.
A+++ PROS****VERY Clean and kept up. Bathrooms were also clean and well placed. Several places to grab lunch that had bike racks to lock your bikes and people watch or bring your own lunch and eat at one of several picnic tables. I thought I wasn't going to be able to carry my weapon but the no guns sign was for the zoo. There was a bike shop midway which included a very thorough bike washing station. Didn't bring your bike? Plenty of electric bike rentals. The water falls were awesome but probably would have been better if it had rained in the last ten days. Plenty of play areas for kids with a water park, rock climbing wall see (drone shots). It even had a snow cone truck. Very dog friendly with pooey bags throughout. CONS****The trail isn't marked in some spots leaving you wondering if you were on the right route. We have recumbent bikes and there were 2 hills we had to get off and push our bikes. It was really to crowded to get a workout on the bikes. Could have been the beautiful weather and being a Sunday.
A beautiful space for enjoying a bike π² ride, or walking the π dog or pushing the stroller and taking the kids out for a walk or bike ride. Stretching from Travelers Rest SC and into the heart of Greenville SC, it's a beautiful trail π³πΏοΈ for any activity level or distance. Enjoying the outdoors and the wonderful weather π is a great way to spend time on the swamp rabbit π° trail.
